About the work
To the left (or above on mobile) is my “first love” as an artist – the relief print. The immediacy and finality of the medium is so liberating with its black & white contrast mixed with chine-collé for a color pop. The substrate that accepts the removal of wood or linoleum with a cutting tool does not accept an eraser, hence the finality. This love of the black & white inspired the below (ongoing) collection of sketches, where contrast is key.
